Update Stock Price

The stock prices can be updated at any time by clicking on Trades | Update Prices.  This will retrieve a delayed quote (usually 20 minutes) from the internet. 

Within the Options, you can set Portfolio Manager to automatically update the prices after a specified delay.  When the program has been minimized, this delay timer will paused and the prices will automatically be updated once you switch back to Portfolio Manager.
